About Beacon Utility Contractors
Since 1997, Beacon Utility Contractors Limited has specialized in utility construction and maintenance, completing more than 1,600 electrical and communication installations across Southern Ontario.
As proud members of IBEW and LIUNA, we employ a team of professional engineers, licensed electricians, power linemen, and skilled labourers, all of whom have been installing and maintaining electrical installations for many years. Our staff is well versed with the Ontario and Canadian Electrical Safety Codes and there applications.
Our fleet of late model equipment includes bucket trucks, digger derrick trucks, dump trucks, excavators, and rubber tire backhoes, giving us the ability to provide our clients with full turnkey electrical solutions, as well as dedicated 24-hour service and support.
All of our installations are inspected by the local Electrical Safety Authority (ESA), with whom which we are in excellent standing, and are members of the authorized contractor program. (ACP)
At Beacon Utility Contractors, safety is our number one priority. We employ a full time Health and Safety Coordinator, who focuses on the most current health and safety practices and regulations. All of our supervisors and field staff attend regular training sessions, held in house and by the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA). Beacon is currently registered with the IHSA Certificate of Recognition (COR) program.
We are pre-qualified to construct, install, and maintain traffic signals for every municipality in the GTA including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, York Region, Durham Region, and Peel Region. Our current client roster includes the City of Toronto, City of Markham, City of Vaughan, City of Brampton and the Region of Peel, as well as the Ministry of Transportation (MTO), Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), Metrolinx, and CN Rail.
We’re also a pre-qualified contractor for Toronto Hydro and Bell Canada, and work for a large variety of general contractors and road builders throughout Southern Ontario.
